Tomboy is a duet featuring Thibault Perriard and Paul-Marie Barbier.
The band was created in 2010 and was at first a quintet, on the model of a classic pop rock band.
The first EP "Phase Out" was released in 2014, in partnership with Yann Arnaud (Syd Matters), unveiling five original tunes along with a music video from their hit "roger's end".

In 2015, under the influence of James Blake among others, the two leaders decided to make a sharp shift towards electopop music. They henceforth play in duet with a computer at their side, and statut singing in french too.

For almost two years Tomboy has appeared on the parisian scene, such as the mythical "Café de la Danse" or "Les Trois Baudets", or trending underground pop venues like "Pop in" or "Le Chat Noir".

Tomboy on stage is basically a show of juggling patterns with a millimetre accuracy, two musicians switching from computer to floor toms, guitar, keybords, and of course microphones.

Paul-Marie Barbier is a band member of the internationnally famous electro swing band Caravan Palace, where he plays the piano, keyboards, vibes and drums. With them he learnt music programming.
Thibault Perriard is a jazz drumer (Oxyd quintet, Slugged...), a singer and multi instrument musician who is also very involved in modern musical theatre (Didon et Enee / le crocodile trompeur, Bouffes du Nord Productions, Moliere Award 2014)
